T his pattern is an original pattern by Stephanie Lau of All About Ami (March 2011). At Sue Fungs, you can expect all your favourite dim sum dishes, including Siu Mai (shrimp and minced pork dumplings), Har Gow (shrimp dumplings), BBQ Pork Buns. Place siu mai’s in bamboo steamer, and voilà! You’ve made yourself some gourmet cuties □ Sew filling onto wrapper using yellow thread. Randy Lau is the genius behind the Made With Lau YouTube channel, which has over 800k subscribers. Put the siu mai on the plate, steam under high heat for 8 minutes. Put about a tablespoon filling in the centre of the wrapper, then wrap it leaving top exposed. Put all fish into blender and blend until smooth and sticky. Stuff wrapper with fiberfill and place filling ontop (but below crinkled edge of wrapper). Cut the fish meat into small pieces, then add the seasoning. Work on the face: attach 6 mm eyes and use orange yarn to sew mouth onto center of filling. Note: The tan yarn I used was of a heavier weight (thicker) than the yellow yarn, so you may need tocrochet more rows to make the filling an appropriate size Hide the ends of the knot on the inside of the wrapper. Thats it, youve just made one Keep going and youll have a whole batch. Now bring the remaining two corners together and squeeze once more to form a little wrinkled cup around the filling. Once you’ve gone all the way around, pull the edges gently (not too tight) and tie a knot. Then bring two opposite corners towards the middle, gently squeezing them into place. Using yellow yarn, run a needle through every two stitches (do this one row below the edge, or between row 10 and 11). R6: *Sc 4, 2 sc in next sc*, rep 6 times (36 sts)įasten off. Place about a tablespoon of the filling on each wrapper, gather up the sides and leave the center open. Mix the chicken with all the ingredients together, set aside in the fridge for 20 minutes. R5: *Sc 3, 2 sc in next sc*, rep 6 times (30 sts) Using a mini food processor, ground the chicken, but make sure that its coarsely ground. R4: *Sc 2, 2 sc in next sc*, rep 6 times.
